Here we are being represented in a University of British Columbia Fair where we had a BOM booth that was hosted by our Young Single Adult Branch in Vancouver and by two of our Missionaries...Elders Byrd and McGahan.
Elders Byrd and McGahan handed over 300 Books of Mormon to those who stopped at the booth. The giant BOM was made by the members of the YSA branch.
Sister Lewis and Sister Traxler went to lunch with Mary and Sister Tilleman. We gave Mary her first wedding gift. She will be married in the Vancouver Temple on August 11 and there will be a reception in Colorado Springs where her future husband is from so we will get to attend.

Paul and I spent a day organizing some of the less fequently used BOM and pamphlets. The church has BOM in over 130 different languages. One of my jobs is to order the BOM's and I order about 900 a month in the different languages...most in English of course although we also have large volumes of Chinese.
Elders are dressed and ready to start washing their cars on the P-Day (personal day). They are from the left to right...Elders Tippetts and Muhlestein (office Elders), Ross, and Gibson (Mandarin speaking Elders in Richmond). Actually they are not that happy to be doing this.
This is how P-day usually goes. Many come into Elder Traxler and Lewis' office to get new cars, handle financial transactions, get phones changed, etc....etc. There is a waiting line outside of the office besides these that are cramed into the office. It is hectic and loud.
Easter Sunday Elder Muhlestein turned 21 and we hosted a combination Easter dinner and Birthday celebration for him. He has now completed his 2 year service and is heading back home on Wednesday, April 11th.
We had 16 people for Easter dinner at the church because our apartment was too small. This is a picture of just some of the people.
Here we are at the Temple for the departing missionaries who have completed their 2 year service. There are 9 elders and then the Senior Missionary couples who attend with them. This is a tradition of the Mission for every departing group that happens every 6 weeks. The Jones' on the far right are a new couple also from Colorado.

This is the room set up for the "transfer lunch" where the new missionaries come into and meet their new trainers and companions. The April transfer was one of our biggest with over 100 missionaries coming to lunch. We had 14 tables set up to feed 114. This time we gave them pizza, and salad which they loved. One of the elders said we had too many pink tablecloths and the pizza wouldn't taste as good so we saved him a place at the blue table in the back. We always try to please.
